Fig. 01The program is based on experiential learning that connects classroom knowledge with real environmental action. Students and teachers take part in outdoor learning, tree planting, field activities, and community projects that deepen understanding of ecosystems and environmental responsibility — building both knowledge and a lasting connection to nature.
Fig. 02Each year, thousands of students across Armenia participate. A defining feature is its direct connection to field-based work: activities take place in ATP's education centers, in urban and rural schools, and at community planting and greening sites nationwide. Participants move beyond the classroom into tree planting and greening projects — so education translates into real, visible environmental impact.
Fig. 03ATP operates dedicated centers that serve as hubs for hands-on learning, teacher training, summer camps, and community engagement. Two key sites — Karin and Margahovit — serve as the Michael & Virginia Ohanian Environmental Education Centers, named after early and longtime supporters.
